A designer or interior decorator working on a home decor project, with fabric samples, paint swatches, photos of furniture and decor, a smartphone displaying a woman with flowers and bananas, and various gold hardware fixtures on a beige marble surface.

Hi, I’m Kathryn —
Founder and Interior Designer of Studio Halo & Fitz

Studio Halo & Fitz is a boutique interior design studio based in St Kilda, working with homeowners across St Kilda, Elwood, Balaclava, Windsor, Prahran, Albert Park, and the wider inner-Melbourne metro area and bayside suburbs. The studio brings a global eye — shaped by living and working across six countries — to homes that need a stronger thread, not a louder one.

If your house already has good bones, good pieces, even good taste, but the rooms still don't feel resolved into something that's actually you, that's the brief. Not a style questionnaire. Your story.

What working together locally looks like

In-person design work starts with the Discovery Call — a paid 60-minute session that's part brief, part biography, where the questions go beyond measurements and Pinterest boards into what your home actually needs to hold. From there, a custom proposal follows, scoped to your home, your timeline, and your budget.

The Grand Tour is the studio's most hands-on offering — full-scope design for whole-home or multi-room projects, character homes, and renovations where confident decision-making matters from the first wall colour to the last cushion.

For single-room work or lighter-touch direction, e-design is also available locally, with the option to layer in a site visit where it's useful.

Where the studio works

In-person consultations are offered across St Kilda, St Kilda East, St Kilda West, Elwood, Balaclava, Windsor, Prahran, Albert Park, Middle Park, South Yarra, South Melbourne, Brighton, Port Melbourne, and Ripponlea. Outside this catchment, e-design is available Australia-wide.

Why local clients choose Studio Halo & Fitz

Most interior design either chases trends or plays it safe. This studio exists for the people in between — those with enough lived experience to know what they love, but not enough direction to land it. The process starts with your existing pieces and your actual life, not a generic mood board. The result is a home that feels layered, personal, and genuinely yours — not staged, not themed, not like anyone else's St Kilda renovation.
